Teachers Touch Lives

After much prayer, a home for Sunshine was found by the end of the day on Wednesday. Her new family was scheduled to pick her up sometime during the day on Thursday or Friday. As many of you know, Sara Frances has a very serious personality. Kenneth and I decided that after choir Wednesday we'd break the news to her. It didn't go well, she was very sad! We were sad for her as the kitty had helped her to loosen up and she simply loved Sunshine. She went to school sad on Thursday but not crying. Her kind, caring teacher Mrs. McGraw saved the day!! She let Sara Frances bring home the class pet, Joyner the dragon, for a few days!!! This means the world to her. I know God has heard my prayers in this tough situation. Babysitting Joyner has been a great distraction for her. She has to remember to feed him plenty of chocolate, his favorite food! It also helped that a sweet friend got to come over and play for a while! Joyner is asleep tonight on the end of her bed. As you can see, Mrs. McGraw gave her special instructions for Joyner and even poked holes in the top of the box to allow air to get in. Sunshine's new family did pick her up this afternoon. It just so happened that I had taken SF back to school after her Dr's appointment. Kenneth was here and said things went well. I will post what comes next in another post. I feel much relief and taken care of! :)
