Talent Show Girls

Meri Alan and Anne Daniel did a great job in the talent show today. They sang King of Kings which is a song that the children's choir sang this spring at church. The girls made the executive decision to wear their dance recital costumes for the performance! They were awfully cute.

The Girls!

Sara Frances had a fun end of the year party today. Here are the girls from her class. She's going to miss them this summer.

Last Day of School

Today is the last day of school for my girls. Officially it's tomorrow but they won't be there. We are headed to Memphis for SF's eye appointment. She didn't want to miss school back in March when she was supposed to go so we are going tomorrow. They are happy and sad about it ending at the same time. They've had wonderful years and have been blessed with super teachers and sweet friends. Meri Alan has a costume in hand because she and her friend are singing in the talent show today. They decided they really needed to wear their dance recital outfits to sing in! Well, you're only in kindergarten once. I'm heading to Rankin to go to Sara Frances' end of the year luau in a little while.

A Funny!

With it being the end of school the kids have been bringing home a lot of cute things. I think this was done earlier in the year by Meri Alan when they were learning about Tupelo. I do love TJ!!

Kindergarten Awards Day

I love how positive Joyner is and how they recognize students. We attended kindergarten awards day there today where all of the kindergarten kids received awards. All of them were so excited! Meri Alan received a reading award, Joynerville award, honor roll award, and a reading fair award. We were also proud of Meri Alan for leading the Pledge of Allegiance.

Pictures from the play...

Here are some pictures of Meri Alan's cute class at the kindergarten play last week.

piano video

Since I just figured out how to load a video I decided to add one of Sara Frances' songs from her piano recital.

Wonka's Welcome Song

Entertainment!

Yesterday we went to see the kindergarten play at Joyner. It was called And The Dish Ran Away With the Spoon. It was so cute. Meri Alan's class danced to Jack Be Nimble!

It was pretty entertaining!

*update: I just watched my video on blogger. It looks blurry on here and I'm not sure why. It's funnier when you can see she and her buddy, Hayes', facial expressions.

A Nice Surprise...

When I was at Rankin today I found this picture hanging in the hall outside the art room. I found out that Sara Frances did this in the fall and it had been at the Gum Tree Art Gallery school art show this spring. We didn't know since we were out of town then so we didn't see it there but Sara Frances was happy to know about it. Good job!

We Go Together!!

Sara Frances' jazz class danced to We Go Together from Grease.
It was one of my favorite dances ever! So cute!

Somewhere Over the Rainbow

Sara Frances' ballet class danced to Somewhere Over the Rainbow.

Dancing Girls!

My blogger screen is still looking funny so I can't really write under the pictures. These are some great ones that Wendy sent me. They are of Sara Frances, Mia Katherine, and Lydia.

Laughing Little Sisters!

Thanks for this picture, Carley! This is cute! Here are the little sisters watching the big sisters at dress rehearsal. I think Maury may have been putting on a show. Fun times!!! I'm going to get some of Sara Frances' pics up next as soon as I have time. I have a few more of her because she was in the afternoon and evening show. We had a long day but it was a good time.

Ballerina Meri Alan

Meri Alan loved being in the ballet recital this weekend. Her class danced to the Lonely Goatherd from the Sound of Music. It was such a cute dance.

Fun Times!

I don't know what's going on with blogger this morning but I can't move my pictures to the middle. Here are some fun pics of some cute backstage girls this weekend!

This Weekend!

Well recital weekend 2010 is done! It was so much fun and all of the girls did a wonderful job!! I will post some pictures tomorrow of them in their costumes. The girls are sad it's done and can't wait for ballet camp this summer. I'm thankful for great friends that make hanging out backstage, changing costumes and fixing ballerina buns a lot of fun!

Two Peas in a Pod!

Sara Frances is so blessed to have Mia Katherine as a friend. I love this white beret picture of them!
