My girls are totally thrilled we finally got a real pet! Meet Sunshine , our new kitten. Sunshine was born in a barn at my aunt's house in Eupora on June 7. We're not sure if Sunshine is a boy or a girl yet but my aunt thinks it's a girl. Sunshine is going to the vet on Friday morning so we'll find out for sure then. Sunshine's whole name according to Meri Alan is Sunshine Clementine Peaceful Sparkle. I don't know about all of that. She slept most of the afternoon under a lawnmower but came out later on and was quite social. She sure is a sweetie!!

Dixie Keely
Dixie Keely is getting to look through a kaleidoscope and below she's playing with an Ariel Barbie.
The other day as Kenneth was getting something out of the attic my girls found a treasure. I was downstairs but I could hear Meri Alan making a commotion. She'd found my old Cabbage Patch, Dixie Keely. She has been WELL taken care of every since. She's been strolled, rocked, played many games and has even been to Wal-Mart this week. These pictures were taken this morning in Sara Frances' room. I've always loved that doll. I got it for Christmas one year in the 80's. I loved her then and even got my picture made with her at Olan Mills! ha!

A Fun Friday
Sara Frances LOVED theater camp at TCT this week. Arts, crafts, dancing, singing, etc. She attended this camp last year and had a great time but this year was even better. I think the Wizard of Oz theme was a great choice and loved by all. Tonight she got teary eyed thinking about it being over. We enjoyed her performance today and can't wait until next year's.
Sara Frances ended her day with some new friends that will be in her second grade class this year. She's been wanting to have a back to school get together. Fun times and sweet friends. She's really enjoyed her summer but I think she's getting ready to start back.
I have to add this precious pic of Lucy Helen and Meri Alan. Need a laugh? These two can deliver. This was taken before the theater camp show today.

The girls loved these duck whistles so much that Meri Alan has me hunting some for birthday party. What a noise!
These are the last pics from vacation that I'm posting. It's hard to believe that Sara Frances will be starting 2nd grade in three weeks. It seems like she should still be in preschool. I'm trying to just enjoy the rest of the summer I have with her. I also can't believe this will be Meri Alan's last year of preschool. I'm thankful that both of my girls totally LOVE school but I do miss them when they're gone. SF is looking forward to her week at TCT's Wizard of Oz theater camp this week. I can't wait to see their show on Friday. Meri Alan has been enjoying her Friday mornings at Go.

Baby Land General Hospital
look at all of the babies!
See the t.v. screen? That's where you can see sonograms. If the screen lights up pink- it's a girl! blue- it's a boy!
This cpk was a girl. We got to see 2 babies born from the cabbage patch during our visit.

I know it's silly but I've always wanted to visit Baby Land General Hospital in Cleveland. We went there the second day of our trip. Poor Kenneth, it's a babydoll trip for him. He's such a good sport. You know Meri Alan was in pure baby paradise here! She loves her some Cabbage Patch babies. This was a sweet place and set up like a real hospital. I'm uploading pics while catching up on laundry, etc. I'll be posting more as I get time.

We ate dinner at American girl the evening we arrived. It was really nice! The dolls had a special spot at the table along with their own menus. Before dinner our dolls went to the beauty shop for a new hairdo. The food was yummy and cute too! I would love to go back sometime.

Chuck E. and the Gang
We had a blast at Emma Taylor's 5th birhday party at Chuck E. Cheese's on Tuesday night. Her sweet Granna Judy sent me some cute pics that I just had to post. Emma Taylor's mom, Heather, was my roomie all through college and her gang is like family to me. Love them! We're glad she had a Happy Birthday!!
