We Love Our Dolls

Kenneth's parents gave Meri Alan and Kit matching gowns for Christmas. Meri Alan has been wanting me to take their picture together. Before I put her to bed tonight, I finally did it. It turned into a regular baby doll photo session. The girls kept on finding more things for me to take pictures of. One thing is for sure- they love their dolls!
I hope you all are having a great holiday! I'm loving having the kids home from school and sleeping late most days! I'm watching Mamma Mia tonight. It's really good so far.
We've seen two movies at the theater since school has been out. We liked Despereaux and we loved Bedtime Stories.

Sand Art

Look what I made!!
My girls could sit for hours with some arts and crafts. Lucky for them that Santa and G.G. gave them plenty for Christmas! Meri Alan worked on her sand art this afternoon.

Wii Love This Game!

My girls asked Santa for a Wii this year. I asked Kenneth for a Wii Fit! We are enjoying the Wii so much, especially the Wii Fit. We all played it almost all day yesterday. We played this afternoon too but still managed to get our tree put up. The girls love the running paths. I love them too and I LOVE the hula hooping! This is really making exercise more exciting... I'm thankful for that.

Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas!!!

After attending Christmas Eve Candlelight Service at Calvary we came home to prepare for Santa! We made magical reindeer food and sprinkled it on our lawn. The smell of the oats and the magic of the glitter will guide Santa's reindeer directly to your home!

Treats for Santa
We had Christmas at my parents house this afternoon. They gave the girls their new dolls in the picture. They've been excited about getting Elizabeth and Felicity! We will go to Kenneth's parents' in the morning after the girls unwrap what Santa has left them. We're hoping to see Despereaux at the movies tomorrow afternoon. It's been a wonderful Christmas so far!!

Christmas in Cottonplant

countdown to Christmas

Santa was at the mall last night. He was at Cottonplant tonight!
The Grinch
Frosty the Snowman
"The Elf Cafe" I love their chess squares and cocoa. The girls love the brownies.

I love going to Cottonplant. This was our third Christmas to pay them a visit. The people are so nice and I've never seen so many Christmas decorations in one place. If your kids love inflatable decorations they'll love this place! They have it all! Meri Alan still didn't get up her nerve to meet the Grinch. Maybe next year. It seems like they add more each year. Frosty was a cute new addition. Merry Christmas!!

Sara Frances' Christmas party
We do not make it to the mall very often and the girls having been really wanting to see Santa. After Sara Frances' Christmas party at school we went for a visit. They finally got their requests in to Santa. They are asking for a Wii to share and both girls would like a surprise. Sara Frances hopes her surprise is a bell from Santa's sleigh and a chocolate chip cookie. Hopefully he can deliver. While at the mall we had to go to Libby Lu. Meri Alan cried hysterically for 30 min. a couple of weeks ago when she heard it was going out of business. It was lots of fun and I think she's coming to terms with it leaving. Everything is 40% including makeovers. Tonight we went to Christmas in Cottonplant. I'll post pics from that pretty soon.

More Cute Christmas Stuff...

Meri Alan had her preschool party this morning. Look at this cute sack she made to bring home all of her goodies in. She actually brought home several beautiful ornaments for our tree! The one below is one of my favorites. She had a great last day of preschool until 2009!
Sara Frances brought home a cookbook for us. I love cookbooks! Each child turned in a favorite recipe and they made them into a cookbook. What a treat!
Sara Frances turned in a recipe for potato soup. It's a recipe I got in "blogland" that we really enjoy. Did I mention it's easy?
Her class party is tomorrow. I'm a party mom for it so I'll get to go take some pictures. What a great year it's been so far! Hope you all are having a blessed holiday season, we sure are!

A Gift from Rudolph

Meri Alan came home from preschool looking like Rudolph today! She also brought a stocking she made with a present in it for ME!! Last year she literally made me wait until Christmas to open our present from school. She didn't mention anything about that this time. I was relieved because I'm not a patient waiter! She was so proud and I love my new macaroni ornament. Sara Frances made one similar when she was in 4 yr. preschool. I LOVE it!! It has a special place on my tree. Thanks, Mrs. Francille, for helping Meri Alan make Kenneth and I such a special present!

Sara Frances also brought us a pretty Christmas craft today! Her class is rotating with other second grade classes for a little while each day to make fun Christmas crafts. She's loving that!

Passport to Worship

Meri Alan
girlfriends!

I'm so excited that my girls love to sing songs to Jesus! We enjoyed watching our girls at church last night sing in the Christmas choir program, Passport to Worship. We are blessed that they have kind, fun teachers!

More Christmas Stuff and Henry Bob Update!

Henry Bob must have gotten hungry because when we found him yesterday he had eaten part of a gingerbread boy! That sneaky ole' elf! He had crumbs all over his "uniform" as Meri Alan calls it.
