Happy 6th, Meri Alan!!!

In the morning my baby girl will be 6 years old!!

On September 1, 2003 sweet Meri Alan was born.

She wanted this new scooter for her birthday. I think she likes it because of the bell.

I think this was one of her most fun days ever. Kenneth took SF to Epcot on this day. Meri Alan and I went to the Magic Kingdom and literally stayed in Fantasyland all day. We rode Small World, Dumbo, Pooh Bear, etc. over and over!

The Gingerbread Boy!!

Meri Alan's kindergarten class has been reading about the infamous gingerbread boy!! She told her teacher that her mama has a giant gingerbread pan and would love to make one for the class. Well, of course!! :)

Since it's August and I didn't see any gingerbread dough at Kroger, this boy is a sugar cookie!

She is excited about taking him to school tomorrow.

Super Star Meri Alan

Students in Mrs. Rutledge's kindergarten class take turns being the "Superstar" for the day. Today was Meri Alan's day to shine. They get to help the teacher, sit by her at lunch and she draws a special picture of them!! How special!! I have saved several of Sara Frances' from when she had Mrs. Rutledge. We are thankful that Meri Alan is adjusting great to going to BIG school and totally loves it!!

I am happy to report that Sara Frances still loves school! She's had a great first whole week in third grade. I thought this would be a good picture to post so she can remember what she liked, etc...

My First Day of School Girls!!

My house is quiet but my heart is happy that I know my girls are having a great day back to school. I am thankful that they are excited to go and that I know they are well taken care of. I hope everybody is having a happy back to school day today!!

I dropped my baby off at kindergarten today! She is thrilled to be a big Joyner girl!Here she is with Mrs. Rutledge at Meet Your Teacher Night. Sara Frances also had Mrs. Rutledge for kindergarten and we feel so blessed that Meri Alan is in her care.
