braces!

Here she is with her braces. Things went really well this afternoon. It only took about an hour and isn't she cute? Now we've got to work on learning how to take care of them.

She can swim!

It's been a busy week with Meri Alan at swimming lessons and Sara Frances at ballet camp.
I'm so thankful they both loved what they did! I was excited to see Meri Alan jumping off of the diving board and swimming to the ladder. That's big news for her! She loved going to Mrs. Hayley's and is sad it's over.

recipes

I told Kerri I'd post this dip recipe that I love!

Monterey Jack Salsa and Cream Cheese Dip

1 4 oz. can chopped green chilies
1 small can chopped black olives (I use about 3/4 can)
4 green onions, chopped
1/4 pound Monterey Jack cheese, shredded (I use a little more cheese and I like to get the colby/monterey marbled when I can)
1 tomato, chopped
1/2 cup Italian salad dressing
1/4 cup chopped cilantro

Blend all ingredients and refrigerate. Serve over a wedge of cream cheese.
Serve with Tortilla chips.

Judy, I made your strawberry lemonade and I really enjoyed it. I know I'll be making more of that. My girls liked it too!

Judy's Strawberry Lemonade

1 1/2 cups sliced strawberries
1 cup fresh lemon juice
1 1/4 cups sugar
4 cups cold water

Combine the strawberries, lemon juice and sugar in a blender and process until smooth. Add water and chill.
*I used the juice of 2 lemons and then used bottled.

In Our VBS T-Shirts!

Daddy's Girls
The Moves

We're having a fabulous summer! VBS at our church was last week. Boy, was it fun! Boomerang Express is a great theme. My girls are still loving the music. Here they are performing for Kenneth. He was working during the performance Sunday night so they put on a show for him when he got home. I've been kind of lazy about getting my camera out lately. Maybe I can do better. We've been doing lots of swimming and the girls are loving attending Bible School at Lawndale Presbyterian this week. Meri Alan will be going to swimming lessons with Mrs. Hayley next week and Sara Frances will be in ballet camp. Fun times!!
