It's Nutcracker Week

Sara Frances sure is excited about being in the Nutcracker this coming weekend. These pictures are from last year. She was an angel. She loved being an angel and this year she'll be a toy clown. She can't wait to wear her clown costume. The show is always wonderful and gets us in the mood for Christmas. It will be on Dec. 6 at 2:00 and at 7:30. We'll be at practice almost every day this week. I'll post pics from this year when I get a chance. Second graders are toys so I'm sure the costumes will be real cute!

After the Camel...

We headed to Old Mill for lunch after riding the camel. The corn chowder was so yummy. Meri Alan says she ate the best chicken strips ever there. That's quite a compliment! We then walked around the shops at Old Mill before going to Ober Gatlinburg for ice skating.

Kenneth and SF did some ice skating. Meri Alan fell asleep on the way so we rested.
We enjoyed the Gatlinburg Trolley Tour of Lights.

Kenneth took the girls to the Wonder Works Museum on Tuesday morning while I did a little outlet mall shopping. Thanks, Kenneth! They had been begging to go the place that looked like an upside down house and they had a great time. On my way to pick them up I noticed a nearby show was giving camel rides so we stopped by there on our way to lunch.

We're Back and Happy Thanksgiving!

Matt, Avery, Sara Frances, Meri Alan and Molly I hope you have had a Happy Thanksgiving. We just got back from a fun few days in Pigeon Forge. This morning we ate pancakes with some sweet friends who were there at the same time. What a treat!!
Look who was waiting on us when we got home! HENRY BOB was right there hanging on the light. He did remember to come visit us again this year. He is our loyal Elf on the Shelf who reports back to Santa all of the good and bad behavior at our house. I wonder where he'll be in the morning?

Sara Frances' Feast

While I was at Joyner I took some pics her reading group's project on Because of Winn Dixie.
Sara Frances loved reading this book and her girl is the one below in the striped shirt. If you look closely you can see where they wrote things about their character all around it. Pretty neat!
Kenneth and I enjoyed feasting with Sara Frances' class today. Turkey, ham, dressing and all of the trimmings. It was DELICIOUS! We sure do appreciate G.G. making that yummy crock pot dressing. Now we are looking forward to no school next week!

A Funny Meri Alan Pic

Alright, maybe I should stop randomly posting pics on my blog tonight. I had to post this when I saw it. I think it's so funny. Meri Alan was barely 3 and she left Disney saying that Maleficent was her friend! She doesn't meet a stranger...

When looking through some pics on my computer, I felt like posting this cutie! Sometimes I miss these times...

Barbie House Pic

The girls have decided to try to sell the Barbie House. You can email or call if you might be interested. The newer model is selling for $299. We're asking $40. It's in great shape as it's never been an outside toy for us but that's what it's made for. It would be a great Christmas present. As you can see, Meri Alan is 5 and can still get in. My girls want some more space for art supplies, etc.

Blessings Mix

A friend forwarded this to me a few years ago. I have made it up every year for my girls' teachers every year since. I think it's a great teacher happy and every one we give it to seems to enjoy it. I copy and pasted it just like it came. I sometimes change up the ending message to fit the person. Hope you enjoy! My girls will be giving this treat again this year.

Blessings Mix

Bugles: Shaped like a cornucopia, a symbol of our nation’s abundance.

Pretzels: Arms folded in prayer, a freedom sought by those who founded our country.

Candy Corn: The sacrifices of the pilgrims’ first winter. Settlers survived on just a few kernels of corn a day.

Nuts: Promise of a future harvest.

Dried Fruits: Harvest gifts from a bountiful land.

M&Ms: Memories of those who came before us to lead us into a blessed future.

Hershey’s Kiss: The love of family, friends, and teachers that sweeten our lives.

During this happy season of giving and receiving, we offer you our thanks for loving our children. We give you our support and encouragement. We offer our time when it is needed. We promise to pray for you and our school every week. Please accept these gifts. They are offered with much love and sincerity!

My Girls

It's been a while since I've posted. Luckily, we haven't had too much going on this week so I haven't had my camera out much. We actually got a new camera last week so Kenneth took a few pics of the girls when we were about to go to church last Sunday.
We went to Medserve for flu shots yesterday. Glad to have that done!

It's Fall!

Meri Alan and Bailey
Look at all of these leaves!
The leaves are so pretty around here right now. We LOVE looking at all of the colorful trees. I do wish the leaves would stay on the trees as our yard gets knee deep in them! It does make for a beautiful fall.

Disney on Ice

My parents took our girls to the Disney on Ice Show yesterday while Kenneth and I went to Oxford. It was a wonderful day. The weather was nice for us in Oxford, the Rebels won and the girls had a FUN day! Thanks for the picture, G.G.!
