Art Camp Open House

Look what I made this week at art camp!
Cute apron!

Bella Grace, Sarah Caroline, Sally Grace, Sara Frances

Meri Alan was excited to see Ava there!

Sara Frances was so excited that her eye wasn't swollen much anymore and she got to go to her last day of art camp. Thanks to Mrs. Baker, Mrs. Parker and Mrs. Lambert. It was such a fun week. We love all of her creations.

Magic Tricks

Mia Katherine, Sara Frances and the trick glass!
Smell the flower!

Mia Katherine came over after art camp on Tuesday. Little did I know, she had some tricks up her sleeve! She is such a cute friend and Sara Frances enjoyed drinking out of her glass that drips water out of a tiny hole as well as smelling her flower. ha! ha! There were others too. Art camp has been lots of fun for the most part. Sara Frances came home early yesterday due to being stung by a wasp. Apparently as it was stinging her eyelid she reached up to get it off. Then it stung her thumb. It's getting better amazingly fast! We're blessed. She was up and about by the end of the day after a "benadryl" afternoon of napping. She's back today for her last day. I'll post pics of her creations soon.

Quest for Camelot

A couple of weeks ago Sara Frances attended Quest for Camelot Camp where she learned about castles, knight, dragons, princesses etc. She and Mary Carson are "protecting the castle" with their jousting stick! She dissected an owl pellet, made an edible castle and much more. She's excited about art camp this week.

AR

This is Sara Frances, Ms. Harrell (librarian), Liza and Emma.
These girls love to read! Perhaps one of SF's favorite times of first grade was when this crew got to go eat lunch with their principal for reading. I thought that was a great prize!! They ate at Abners. I hear they mainly ate cookies and drank COKE! ha!

Ballet Recital 2008

The girls' ballet recital was at the end of May. Fun as usual!! My girls love ballet and Sara Frances is excited that she gets to take jazz this year.

Disney World Spring Break 2008

I thought I would try to put some pics of some of the highlights of our spring. Disney World was one of them!! We went during spring break because Sara Frances doesn't like to miss school. It wasn't as busy as we were afraid it would be. Kenneth and I love it just as much as the kids and can't wait to go back again sometime. We don't know when that will be yet.

The Memphis Zoo

In looking at pics to post I decided to post some of these zoo pics from the end of May. We love to go to the zoo. We went again this past Tuesday but I forgot to take my camera. On this day we were extra excited because we got to see the hippo eat. Most exciting was the fact the hippo actually got out of the water where we could see it! Meri Alan's favorite book these days is Fancy Nancy Bon Jour Butterfly. I think that's one reason she LOVES the butterfly garden sooo much!! We sat in there 30 minutes on Tuesday while she walked around and watched butterflies. I sure am enjoying having them both at home this summer and not running around quite as much as during the school year.

attempting to blog...

I was so excited to get some pictures of my girls that I had ordered earlier this week. They're growing up so fast. Summer is going by fast too. I'm attempting to start a blog. We'll see how it goes.
